San Diego Mission Bay Resort is a premier resort destination located in the heart of San Diego, California. We are excited to invite applications for the role of Catering Sales Manager to join our San Diego Mission Bay Resort family. This pivotal role is designed for an individual with a passion for hospitality sales, particularly someone who thrives in a resort environment where creating memorable experiences is paramount. The Catering Sales Manager will play a vital role in driving the resort’s catering business by developing new business opportunities and maintaining strong relationships with current clients. This position is salaried with a competitive pay range of $70,304 to $75,000 annually, inclusive of base wages, incentives, and fringe benefits. In addition, the role is bonus eligible, with potential incentive payouts ranging from 0% to 33% of base compensation, contingent on meeting key performance goals.

As Catering Sales Manager, your responsibilities will include soliciting and securing new catering business while nurturing established client relationships. You will implement effective solicitation strategies aimed at achieving, and surpassing, revenue goals. Success in this role requires the ability to conduct exceptional site inspections and property tours to inspire potential clients and demonstrate the unique offerings of the resort. The role demands excellent customer service and public relations skills, as well as the ability to foster a cooperative and productive team environment focused on high morale and maximum productivity. Job Requirements

  • Experience with catering sales in independent or upscale hotels
  • Familiarity with Delphi FDC software
  • Ability to conduct site inspections and client tours
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Proven success in achieving sales targets

  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet client needs
