As a Catering Sales Rep/Manager for Steak 'n Shake, you will play a vital role in managing all catering orders in your designated restaurant territory. This position offers remote work flexibility within the metro area, empowering you to cultivate and nurture relationships with individuals, businesses, and organizations. Your goal will be to implement and promote the company's comprehensive catering program, generating repeat clientele through high-level professionalism and exceptional service. You will act as the face of the brand in local communities, consistently delivering an attractive, branded final presentation for all catering orders. Your responsibilities will encompass prospecting new clients, generating leads, conducting site visits and tastings, and collaborating closely with operational teams to plan and flawlessly execute catering events. Additionally, you will partner with marketing and field leadership to effectively highlight Steak 'n Shake's latest product offerings, ensuring that sales collateral and branded packaging are utilized according to best practices.
This role requires a dynamic and energetic individual with a strong sales acumen, capable of cold calling, negotiating contracts, and closing deals successfully. You must demonstrate the ability to work cross-functionally, managing multiple events and clients simultaneously while coordinating logistics thoughtfully. Tech-savviness is essential, as you will be expected to navigate Microsoft Office, digital tools, and CRM platforms such as EZCater/Olo, HubSpot, Salesforce, and ZoomInfo. A passion for the Steak 'n Shake brand and its market value proposition is critical, along with excellent networking skills and the ability to maintain a high level of professionalism in all interactions. Additionally, you must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record to support your travel requirements within the territory. Availability to work off-hours, especially during peak catering times, is also necessary.
