Job Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalency with hotel/college training preferred
  • Previous restaurant or hotel food and beverage experience preferred
  • Solid understanding of banquet revenue generation

Job Duties

  • Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile
  • Use guests' names whenever possible to ensure they feel welcome

  • Maintain strong knowledge of hotel features and amenities

  • Pitch in to clean guest rooms and public spaces as needed

  • Complete all operational checklists accurately and on time
  • Ensure shift handover reports are accurate and timely
  • Wear clean, approved uniform and maintain grooming standards
  • Communicate clearly, honestly, and professionally with team members

  • Collaborate with operations team to develop event plans

  • Follow MCR Events SOPs accurately
  • Maintain accurate and organized file management using Delphi
  • Identify and act on business opportunities
  • Communicate effectively in verbal and written form
  • Integrate customer feedback into service improvements
  • Negotiate with clients on menus, bar setup, and room arrangements
  • Understand the impact of banquet operations on hotel success
  • Solve problems and suggest alternatives to arrangements
  • Lead pre-event and post-event meetings
  • Manage client budgets and group room blocks
  • Adhere to all standards, policies, and procedures
  • Celebrate team member contributions
  • Participate in customer site inspections
  • Act as liaison between salesperson and client
