The Catering Service Worker Lead role at Aramark is a vital position responsible for supervising and supporting the planning and execution of catering events of varying sizes and complexities across both central and satellite locations. This role ensures that all catering activities meet the company’s brand standards and operational initiatives consistently. The position is hourly, with a competitive wage ranging from $17.00 to $20.00 per hour. In this role, the Catering Service Worker Lead takes full accountability for creating a safe work environment where team members can perform their duties without risk of injury. Leading catering operations entails overseeing the coordination of staff, rental equipment, event set-up, preparation, service, and break down of food and beverage arrangements. The lead is instrumental in booking events, selecting menu items, pricing them appropriately, and ensuring the seamless delivery of quality catering services. Additionally, the role involves hiring assistance, coaching, performance management including disciplinary actions, and conducting performance reviews to maintain a motivated and capable team.
Coordination is key in this position. The Catering Service Worker Lead works closely with internal departments, participates actively in management meetings, and interacts with vendors and key service users within the client organization to foster efficient communication and event execution. Representing Aramark and the client at meetings and events, they drive positive customer relations and uphold the company’s reputation for excellence.
Maintaining high sanitation, safety, and organizational standards is a critical part of the job, implemented through meticulous checklists, hands-on supervision, and diligent follow-up. The lead also plays a key role in catering training programs, contributing to the development and implementation of training for hourly, part-time, and student employees to enhance team skillsets and service quality. Adherence to Aramark Operational Excellence (OpX) Catering guidelines is essential to align with company initiatives and improve operational efficiencies.
This position demands physical stamina as it includes lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking and standing, and the use of personal protective equipment and uniforms. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two years operational experience in a hotel/banquet setting
- Prior experience with booking of events preferred
- Ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods
- Willingness to wear uniforms and use personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Duties
