The Catering Sales and Operations Manager position based at the House of Blues in Boston, MA, is a key leadership role within Aramark Sports & Entertainment. This role demands a dynamic professional who will oversee all catering solutions and special events operations at the venue. The manager is responsible for leading the catering team to deliver exceptional event experiences that meet and exceed customer expectations while adhering to Aramark's high service standards. Serving as a bridge between clients and the operations team, the Catering Sales and Operations Manager plays a crucial role in planning, executing, and managing catering events and special occasions of varied size and scope.
This salaried position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $75,000 to $85,000, reflecting the candidate's experience and qualifications. The manager will be entrusted with the comprehensive management of catering solutions including developing tailored event plans, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring adherence to budgetary and quality standards. The role involves hands-on execution such as facilitating food delivery, setting up events according to banquet event orders, and ensuring all safety and compliance protocols are met, including food handling and occupational safety guidelines.
In addition to operational responsibilities, this role includes recruiting, training, scheduling, and developing a high-performing catering team committed to the company’s vision of quality and customer satisfaction. The manager is tasked with achieving financial targets related to food and labor costs while managing all related revenue, expenses, and receivables accurately. Communication and leadership skills are key, as is the ability to work flexible, event-based hours to support the dynamic nature of the entertainment venue.

Job Requirements
- Requires at least 2 years of experience
- requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- prior experience in a management or supervisory role preferred
- previous experience in events, hospitality and catering preferred
- available to work event-based hours
- must have excellent communications skills
- complete Food Handlers and Alcohol Service Certifications as required
- requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lb
- ability to stand for extended periods of time

Job Duties
- Develop and complete catering solutions to meet customers' needs
- develop and maintain effective client and customer rapport
- deliver consistent quality in planning and carrying out events
- facilitate the delivery of prepared food and set up of events crafted from banquet event orders
- assist clients in planning special events and providing creative solutions to clients' needs
- train and lead catering employees to ensure catering and event standards are followed ensuring quality in final presentation
- provide completed Banquet Event Orders to team and provide quality assurance all requests are met prior to event
- responsible for delivering food and labor targets
- responsible for execution of catering events of varied size and scope including staffing and management
- ensure accurate reporting of all catering related revenue, expenses, and receivables
- recruit, train, schedule and develop team members
- ensure compliance with all food, occupational, and environmental safety policies
