Job Description
Concord Hospitality is a renowned full-service hospitality company celebrated for its commitment to quality, integrity, community, profitability, and fun. With a strong culture centered on inclusivity and support, Concord offers a rewarding workplace where associates are valued, trained, and given opportunities for professional growth. The company proudly promotes diversity and is an equal opportunity employer dedicated to being a great place to work for all. Operating a variety of hotels and hospitality properties, Concord Hospitality invests in both its team and guests by fostering an environment of excellence, professional development, and vibrant community engagement.
The Catering Sales & Events Manager role at Concord Hospitality is a dynamic position that bridges strategic sales with exceptional event planning and execution. This hybrid role serves as the primary contact for social events from initial inquiry, contracting, planning, and on-site event management to post-event follow-up. The manager supports the conversion of leads generated by the Sales team, handling detailed event logistics and operational coordination with various departments such as Banquets, Culinary, Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, AV, and Sales. This position requires a professional who excels at delivering memorable guest experiences while maximizing revenue streams including food and beverage, room rentals, guest accommodations, and ancillary services.
Essential to this role is the manager's ability to develop new social catering business, attend networking events, respond proficiently to inquiries and Requests for Proposals (RFPs), conduct site tours, and negotiate contracts for social events. Leading pre-conference meetings and overseeing the event execution on-site ensures every function is flawlessly delivered. Beyond the event itself, the Catering Sales & Events Manager is responsible for accurate preparation of Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), timelines, room diagrams, and coordinating all event details to guarantee client satisfaction and repeat business.
This position demands flexibility, including the availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate. Strong hospitality leadership, event planning expertise, revenue generation skills, and client relationship management are core competencies required. The prospective candidate must be adept at problem-solving and time management, capable of working collaboratively within a team setting, and comfortable standing and walking for extended periods in a fast-paced environment. Lifting up to 25 pounds may be necessary.
Concord Hospitality offers competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package for full-time associates that include medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, tuition assistance, discounted hotel stays, and opportunities for training, development, and career advancement. Additionally, eligibility for a performance-based bonus upon achieving set objectives enhances the total rewards. Joining Concord means becoming part of a community where your contributions help shape successful events while supporting your personal and professional ambitions through a culture focused on continuous improvement and mutual respect.
