The Catering Services Manager role at Aramark is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing all catering and special event solutions at a given location. This role involves guiding the catering team to successfully complete events and deliveries that meet and exceed customer expectations and service standards. In this role, the Catering Services Manager is responsible for the seamless delivery and setup of catering orders, ensuring that each event reflects Aramark’s commitment to excellence. The manager also plays a critical part in training and leading the catering team, fostering a culture of quality assurance, and making certain that all banquet event orders are fulfilled precisely. The position demands strategic oversight in managing food and labor costs, staffing events of varying sizes, and ensuring compliance with all food safety, occupational health, and environmental regulations.

The ideal candidate for the Catering Services Manager position will possess at least two years of relevant experience, preferably in management, events, hospitality, or catering industries. Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, be available for event-based working hours, and demonstrate excellent communication skills. Certification in Food Handlers and Alcohol Service is required, as well as the physical capability to perform duties involving occasional lifting and prolonged periods of standing.

Job Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Available to work event-based hours
  • Must have excellent communications skills
  • Complete Food Handlers and Alcohol Service Certifications as required
  • Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lb
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a management or supervisory role preferred
  • Previous experience in events, hospitality and catering preferred
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Available to work event-based hours
  • Must have excellent communications skills
  • Complete Food Handlers and Alcohol Service Certifications as required
  • Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lb
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time

Job Duties

  • Develop and complete catering solutions to meet customers' needs
  • Develop and maintain effective client and customer rapport
  • Deliver consistent quality in planning and carrying out events
  • Facilitate the delivery of prepared food and set up of events crafted from banquet event orders
  • Assist clients in planning special events and providing creative solutions to clients' needs
  • Train and lead catering employees to ensure catering and event standards are followed ensuring quality in final presentation
  • Provide completed Banquet Event Orders to team and provide quality assurance all requests are met prior to event
  • Responsible for delivering food and labor targets
  • Responsible for execution of catering events of varied size and scope including staffing and management
  • Ensure accurate reporting of all catering related revenue, expenses, and receivables
  • Recruit, train, schedule and develop team members
  • Ensure compliance with all food, occupational, and environmental safety policies
