As the Catering Manager, you will lead and manage all aspects of catering solutions and special events while ensuring that all customer expectations and service standards are consistently met or exceeded. Your responsibilities will include developing and completing catering solutions tailored to meet client needs, maintaining strong relationships with customers, and ensuring flawless execution from planning through delivery. You will oversee the catering team, providing guidance, training, and leadership to ensure that standards for quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction are maintained at the highest level.
Your leadership will extend to managing banquet event orders, ensuring that all client requests are accurately communicated and fulfilled timely. You will also be responsible for the financial aspects of catering operations, including labor and food cost management, as well as accurate reporting of all revenues, expenses, and receivables associated with catering services. This position requires dynamic event management skills to facilitate catering events of varying size and complexity, including staff recruitment, training, scheduling, and development.
In this role, you will also ensure strict adherence to food safety, occupational, and environmental policies to provide a safe and compliant workplace for both employees and clients. Your attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to work flexible, event-based hours will be key components of success. Physical ability to perform tasks involving lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods is also necessary. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- At least 2 years of relevant experience
- Prior management or supervisory experience preferred
- Experience in events, hospitality, or catering preferred
- Availability to work event-based hours
- Excellent communication skills
- Completion of Food Handlers and Alcohol Service Certifications as required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lb occasionally
- Ability to stand for long periods
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Develop and complete catering solutions to meet customers' needs
- Develop and maintain effective client and customer rapport
- Deliver consistent quality in planning and carrying out events
- Facilitate the delivery of prepared food and set up of events crafted from banquet event orders
- Assist clients in planning special events and providing creative solutions to clients' needs
- Train and lead catering employees to ensure catering and event standards are followed ensuring quality in final presentation
- Provide completed Banquet Event Orders to team and provide quality assurance all requests are met prior to event
- Responsible for delivering food and labor targets
- Responsible for execution of catering events of varied size and scope including staffing and management
- Ensure accurate reporting of all catering related revenue, expenses, and receivables
- Recruit, train, schedule and develop team members
- Ensure compliance with all food, occupational, and environmental safety policies
