The Catering Manager role is a pivotal leadership position within the Portfolio Group, entrusted with overseeing all facets of catering functions for a premier corporate dining account. This position requires a dynamic leader skilled in managing catering operations from initial planning and coordination to flawless event execution. The role involves working in a refined, executive setting where delivering exceptional dining experiences is critical. As the Catering Manager, you will be at the forefront of client interaction, crafting bespoke catering solutions that meet and exceed customer needs. Your responsibilities will include maintaining strong client and customer relationships, ensuring high standards of event quality, and leading a dedicated team to achieve optimal results. Job Requirements

  • requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • at least 2 years of relevant experience
  • excellent communication skills
  • available to work event-based hours
  • complete Food Handlers and Alcohol Service Certifications as required
  • ability to lift up to 50 lb occasionally
  • ability to stand for extended periods of time

Job Qualifications

  • requires at least 2 years of experience
  • prior experience in a management or supervisory role preferred
  • previous experience in events, hospitality and catering preferred
  • requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • available to work event-based hours
  • must have excellent communications skills
  • complete Food Handlers and Alcohol Service Certifications as required
  • requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lb
  • ability to stand for extended periods of time

Job Duties

  • develop and complete catering solutions to meet customers' needs
  • develop and maintain effective client and customer rapport
  • deliver consistent quality in planning and carrying out events
  • facilitate the delivery of prepared food and set up of events crafted from banquet event orders
  • assist clients in planning special events and providing creative solutions to clients' needs
  • train and lead catering employees to ensure catering and event standards are followed ensuring quality in final presentation
  • provide completed Banquet Event Orders to team and provide quality assurance all requests are met prior to event
  • responsible for delivering food and labor targets
  • responsible for execution of catering events of varied size and scope including staffing and management
  • ensure accurate reporting of all catering related revenue, expenses, and receivables
  • recruit, train, schedule and develop team members
  • ensure compliance with all food, occupational, and environmental safety policies
