The Catering Services Manager at Aramark plays a critical leadership role, overseeing all aspects of catering solutions and special events at a given location. This position is responsible for guiding a dedicated catering team in planning, coordinating, and executing catering services that meet and exceed customer expectations and service standards. The manager takes charge of designing catering packages tailored to client needs, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring the highest quality is maintained from event conception through execution. From delivering prepared food to setting up event spaces according to Banquet Event Orders, the Catering Services Manager ensures seamless service delivery for events of varied sizes and scope.

This role demands dynamic leadership to train, motivate, and lead catering employees while upholding rigorous standards for food quality, safety, and presentation. The manager also carries responsibility for meeting financial targets related to food, labor, and revenue management. Effective communication with clients and internal teams is essential to provide creative event solutions and guarantee satisfaction. Additionally, the Catering Services Manager supports premium service areas if no catering events are scheduled, showcasing flexibility and teamwork.

A vital part of the role includes ensuring compliance with all food handling, occupational, and environmental safety regulations to maintain a safe and compliant work environment. This position requires managing recruitment, training, scheduling, and ongoing development of the catering staff to foster a high-performing and motivated team.

Candidates for this position are expected to bring at least two years of experience, preferably with a background in management, events, hospitality, or catering. Successful managers possess excellent communication skills, a commitment to quality service, and the ability to work event-based hours. Certifications in food handling and alcohol service are required along with the physical capability to handle lifting and standing requirements of the position.

Job Requirements

  • Requires at least 2 years of experience
  • Prior experience in a management or supervisory role preferred
  • Previous experience in events, hospitality and catering preferred
  • Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Available to work event-based hours
  • Must have excellent communications skills
  • Complete Food Handlers and Alcohol Service Certifications as required
  • Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lb
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time

Job Duties

  • Develop and complete catering solutions to meet customers needs
  • Develop and maintain effective client and customer rapport
  • Deliver consistent quality in planning and carrying out events
  • Facilitate the delivery of prepared food and set up of events crafted from banquet event orders
  • Supports other premium areas if no catering events are scheduled
  • Assist clients in planning special events and providing creative solutions to clients needs
  • Train and lead catering employees to ensure catering and event standards are followed ensuring quality in final presentation
  • Provide completed Banquet Event Orders to team and provide quality assurance all requests are met prior to event
  • Responsible for delivering food and labor targets
  • Responsible for execution of catering events of varied size and scope including staffing and management
  • Ensure accurate reporting of all catering related revenue, expenses, and receivables
  • Recruit, train, schedule and develop team members
  • Ensure compliance with all food, occupational, and environmental safety policies
