The role of Catering Manager at Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach is a pivotal position within the Catering and Events Team. This role is designed for an individual who thrives in a luxury hotel setting and is passionate about driving the success of catering operations. The Catering Manager is responsible for actively pursuing and securing new business opportunities by cultivating strong client relationships, responding promptly to inquiries, and managing the seamless coordination of food, beverage, and event facility services. This involves designing creative and innovative menus for catered events that maximize revenue while ensuring every guest experience is exceptional and personalized. The role also includes overseeing event documentation, facilitating smooth transitions throughout all event phases, and acting as the primary contact for clients to ensure flawless execution and quick resolution of any challenges.

Ideal candidates will have previous experience in hotel catering sales or event management, preferably within luxury hotels, and familiarity with Delphi reservation and event management systems is highly valued. Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in hotel catering sales or event management
  • Proficiency in Delphi or similar event management software preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced luxury hotel environment
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Grow catering market segments by soliciting new client relationships, develop proposals and negotiate contracts to close new business
  • Cultivate client relationships by maintaining strong connections with existing corporate and social accounts to secure repeat business
  • Create exceptional experiences by designing creative menus and catered events that maximize revenue and elevate the guest experience
  • Oversee event coordination by managing event documentation, facilitating seamless transitions throughout the pre-event, event, and post-event phases, and serving as the primary client contact to ensure smooth execution and proactive issue resolution
  • Guide team performance by communicating client requirements, providing direction, and offering feedback and coaching to ensure consistent high-level service
