The Catering Services Manager role at Aramark is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing the entire catering operation at a specified location. This role requires managing all aspects of catering solutions and special events from inception to completion, ensuring customer expectations are consistently met with high service standards. The Catering Services Manager leads the catering team, guiding them to successfully execute events or catering delivery requests while maintaining quality and efficiency. This position demands a strong leader capable of planning, coordinating, and supervising catering activities, including the development of customized catering solutions tailored to client needs, event setup, and delivery of prepared food. The manager is actively involved in client engagement, helping to build and sustain strong relationships through effective communication and creative event planning.

The role also includes responsibility for recruiting, training, and scheduling catering staff, guaranteeing that all food safety, occupational safety, and environmental standards are strictly adhered to. Additionally, the Catering Services Manager oversees the financial aspects of catering operations, ensuring accurate reporting of revenue, expenses, and receivables related to catering events. As events can vary significantly in size and scope, this position requires a hands-on approach to manage labor and food targets while maintaining an exceptional level of service. Job Requirements

  • requires at least 2 years of experience
  • prior experience in a management or supervisory role preferred
  • previous experience in events, hospitality and catering preferred
  • requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • available to work event-based hours
  • must have excellent communications skills
  • complete food handlers and alcohol service certifications as required
  • requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lb
  • ability to stand for extended periods of time

Job Duties

  • develop and complete catering solutions to meet customers' needs
  • develop and maintain effective client and customer rapport
  • deliver consistent quality in planning and carrying out events
  • facilitate the delivery of prepared food and set up of events crafted from banquet event orders
  • assist clients in planning special events and providing creative solutions to clients' needs
  • train and lead catering employees to ensure catering and event standards are followed ensuring quality in final presentation
  • provide completed Banquet Event Orders to team and provide quality assurance all requests are met prior to event
  • responsible for delivering food and labor targets
  • responsible for execution of catering events of varied size and scope including staffing and management
  • ensure accurate reporting of all catering related revenue, expenses, and receivables
  • recruit, train, schedule and develop team members
  • ensure compliance with all food, occupational, and environmental safety policies
