The Catering Sales and Operations Manager role at Delaware North Sportservice is a key position based at Busch Stadium in Saint Louis, Missouri. The manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales and marketing plans specifically tailored to creating exceptional event experiences in the stadium's restaurants, suites, and other party areas. The job offers a competitive base salary ranging from $55,300 to $74,600 annually, supplemented by an annual bonus plan or an uncapped sales incentive plan based on individual and company performance.   • experience in food preparation, inventory and cost control, scheduling, and purchasing
  • excellent customer service orientation, communication, data analysis, and organizational skills
  • ability to work event hours, including some holidays, weekends, and evenings
  • bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related preferred

Job Duties

  • Partner closely with client, guests, and catering staff to produce exceptional events that exceed guest expectations, drive referrals, and build positive brand awareness
  • plan, coordinate, and execute all catering events from start to finish and ensure the highest quality of product and service throughout
  • develop effective presentations, both verbal and written, where ideas and recommendations display a strong understanding and expertise in the sales process
  • manage the customer decision and relationship process, negotiate prices and arrangements with clients, draw up contracts, and secure the client's signature and deposit
  • coordinate with operations managers to organize the necessary banquet, kitchen, and service staff and arrangements for each event
  • document and review all records for each catering event and analyze what can be done to improve booking sales
  • maintain an excellent track record of maintaining budgetary allotments and exceeding guests' expectations
  • facilitate repeat and new business for catering functions and exceed the sales expectations of the Catering and Special Events Department
  • design and deliver appropriate catering menus by collaborating with clients and chefs
