The Catering Manager position at Benedict College is a dynamic and integral role that focuses on delivering outstanding culinary experiences and flawless event execution for a variety of campus events. Whether it is an intimate luncheon or a high-profile campus gathering, this role requires a master of hospitality who can manage all facets of catering operations with precision and creativity. The Catering Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for campus catering services, responsible for designing custom menus that meet client needs, leading a dedicated catering team, coordinating logistics, and ensuring every event detail is handled seamlessly. Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, culinary arts, or a related field
- proven experience in catering management with a successful track record of executing diverse events
- strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail and customer satisfaction focus
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clients, staff, and vendors
- knowledge of industry trends and culinary innovations with ability to adapt catering services accordingly
- ability to stand and walk for long periods up to 8-10 hours per day including during event setup and breakdown
- ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds
- frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and kneeling to assist with event setups
- ability to navigate various campus locations including stairs and outdoor areas
- manual dexterity to operate kitchen tools, catering equipment, and digital devices
- ability to taste and smell food and beverages for quality assurance
- ability to work in environments with varying temperatures
- visual and auditory acuity to coordinate with staff and monitor food presentation
- may require valid driver's license to operate catering vehicles or transport supplies
