The role of Catering Manager at Aramark is vital in leading catering operations to ensure the delivery of exceptional event experiences. This full-time position requires an individual who can skillfully manage a catering team, nurture client relationships, and oversee the operational and financial performance of the catering department. The Catering Manager is responsible for planning and executing events seamlessly, making sure all aspects from staffing to service meet the company’s high standards. They play a key role in training and developing the catering team, conducting daily briefings, maintaining schedules, and providing coaching to drive accountability and performance.

In addition to leadership, the Catering Manager handles client relations by acting as the primary contact for clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met, and collaborating with sales and marketing to grow the catering business. Financial oversight is also essential, as this role involves meeting revenue and budget goals, monitoring labor costs, and ensuring accurate billing and timely collections. The Catering Manager coordinates closely with culinary and operations teams to maintain event quality, safety, and compliance with food safety and workplace regulations. Job Requirements

  • at least 2 years of related experience with prior management experience
  • bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office and catering/event management systems
  • ability to work in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
  • availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required

Job Duties

  • lead and support the catering admin team to ensure strong performance and accountability
  • train employees on menus, promotions, and daily operations
  • provide regular coaching, feedback, and performance support
  • run daily team huddles to align on priorities
  • maintain schedules, training records, and performance tracking
  • recognize high performance and address areas for improvement
  • build and maintain strong client relationships
  • act as the main point of contact for catering clients
  • ensure events meet client expectations and details
  • work with sales and marketing to grow catering business
  • identify upsell opportunities and improve customer experience
  • meet catering revenue, labor, and food cost goals
  • track labor hours and manage overtime
  • ensure accurate billing and follow up on payments
  • support strategies to increase profitability
  • oversee events from planning to completion
  • ensure proper staffing, equipment, and setup
  • coordinate with culinary and operations teams
  • maintain high service and presentation standards
  • review event performance and identify improvements
  • follow food safety and workplace safety standards
  • ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
  • perform regular safety checks
  • address and resolve any compliance issues quickly
