Job Description

The hiring organization is a distinguished hotel renowned for its commitment to exceptional guest experiences and outstanding service. Established as a leading provider in the hospitality industry, this hotel excels in offering luxurious accommodations, exquisite dining, and versatile event spaces that cater to a variety of occasions. With a focus on excellence and innovation, the hotel strives to deliver memorable moments for guests, making it a preferred destination for both leisure and corporate travelers. The resort’s ambiance blends classic elegance with modern amenities, ensuring an inviting atmosphere for all visitors. This company is dedicated to upholding high standards of quality and professionalism, fostering a welcoming and dynamic workplace culture that values collaboration, creativity, and personalized service.

The role of Catering Sales Manager at this hotel is integral to driving the success of catered events such as corporate meetings, social gatherings, and weddings. As the Catering Sales Manager, you will spearhead sales initiatives, building and nurturing strong relationships with both new and existing clients to generate revenue and encourage repeat business. Your responsibilities will encompass the complete sales cycle—from responding promptly to inquiries and preparing detailed proposals, to conducting site visits and guiding clients through every stage of event planning. This role demands a high level of collaboration with culinary, banquet, and operational teams to ensure flawless event execution that meets or exceeds client expectations.

In addition to client relationship management, you will play a strategic role in maximizing revenue through effective negotiation, upselling, and forward-thinking planning. Managing event details from the initial inquiry to post-event follow-up will be a critical function, including oversight of banquet event orders (BEOs), timelines, and final billing. You will also maintain precise records within the sales customer relationship management (CRM) system and prepare regular forecasting and activity reports essential for business analysis and planning.

This position requires a blend of sales acumen, event coordination expertise, and interpersonal skills. You will represent the hotel at networking events, trade shows, and industry gatherings to heighten brand awareness and generate new business opportunities. Ensuring that all events align with the hotel’s brand standards and service expectations is paramount. You will also support the Director of Sales & Marketing by undertaking additional projects as needed, contributing to the broader commercial success of the hotel.

Overall, the Catering Sales Manager role is a dynamic, customer-focused position that bridges sales strategy with event execution and requires excellent communication skills, creativity, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for exceptional service delivery. This challenging and rewarding opportunity is perfect for professionals seeking to advance their career in hospitality sales and event management within a vibrant, high-performing hotel environment.
