Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum one year of management experience
  • Experience delivering high-end catering events
  • Proven ability to create visually stunning, memorable, and sophisticated event experiences
  • Strong operational knowledge of catering logistics, safety, and service standards
  • Demonstrated success driving catering sales and building client relationships
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and engage diverse teams in fast-paced environments
  • Strong client references from past catering roles or event partners

Job Duties

  • Oversee planning, coordination, and execution of all catered events both on and off campus
  • Develop event timelines, staffing plans, logistics, and service flow
  • Conduct pre-event briefings and post-event evaluations to support continuous improvement
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, health, and sanitation regulations
  • Maintain accuracy of menu identifiers and allergen information
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise catering staff
  • Provide direct, hands-on leadership during events to uphold high service standards
  • Support a positive, accountable team culture focused on guest satisfaction
  • Participate in client consultations and planning meetings
  • Serve as the on-site point of contact ensuring seamless communication
  • Resolve service challenges professionally, efficiently, and with a customer-first mindset
  • Coordinate rentals, linen service, equipment needs, and specialty vendors
  • Manage inventory levels, ordering including alcohol, and equipment readiness
  • Control event-related labor, supply, and rental costs to meet financial goals
