Job Description

Sodexo Corporate Services, a global leader in food services and facilities management, is actively seeking a dedicated Catering Manager 2 to join its dynamic hospitality team at the prestigious Synchrony site located in Stamford, Connecticut. This branch of Sodexo is renowned for delivering exceptional catering and food service experiences to corporate clients, combining quality, innovation, and operational excellence. With a footprint across numerous industries and service sectors, Sodexo fosters a culture of respect, diversity, and inclusion, aiming to create a better everyday life for both employees and customers alike.

The Catering Manager 2 role at Sodexo is an exciting opportunity for an energetic and organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels in customer service. Primarily working from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend events (1-2 per year), this position demands flexibility and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences. The individual taking on this role will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of catering events—from initial client inquiry and detailed planning to flawless execution and post-event management. This requires a high level of operational skill, attention to detail, excellent interpersonal capabilities, and a proactive leadership approach.

In this role, you will be the operational heartbeat of the catering program at the Synchrony site, ensuring seamless execution and client satisfaction at every stage. You will actively partner with clients to understand and realize their vision, providing tailored service while managing all logistical and operational aspects. Leading a small, skilled team consisting of a Catering Supervisor, two Catering Attendants, and a Pantry Attendant, you will ensure the team performs efficiently to meet and exceed service standards. Daily responsibilities include coordinating catering requests, managing orders with the CaterTrax system, creating Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), overseeing event set-up and breakdown, and maintaining the highest quality of presentation and guest experience.

Sodexo values its team members and offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision care, wellness programs, a 401(k) plan with matching contributions, paid time off, company holidays, and opportunities for career growth and tuition reimbursement. Compensation is fair and equitable, influenced by an individual's education, skills, experience, and training. New employees receive detailed information on the expansive benefits available to support their well-being and career progress.

By joining Sodexo in this pivotal role, you will play an essential part in building a better life for customers and colleagues, contributing significantly to the customer’s corporate culture through high-quality catering services. Sodexo's commitment to equal employment opportunities and a diverse workplace ensures an inclusive environment where all team members feel valued and empowered. If you are passionate about hospitality leadership and delivering exceptional service, this role provides the platform to grow professionally within a global organization dedicated to enhancing quality of life.
