Job Description

Parkhurst Dining is a distinguished family-owned and operated company specializing in culinary, dining, and catering services for over 80 organizations and universities. Rooted in a philosophy that food is best when prepared from scratch with locally sourced ingredients, Parkhurst Dining delivers an authentic culinary experience infused with care and hospitality. As part of the prestigious Eat'n Park Hospitality Group, it benefits from being associated with a regional portfolio of foodservice concepts that serve 50 million guests annually. The company has a strong commitment to quality, innovation, and customer service, making it a preferred choice for both employees and customers alike. The environment at Parkhurst Dining is one where employees can pursue their passion, grow their skillset, and be part of a vibrant, forward-thinking team.

The Catering Manager role at Parkhurst Dining is a vital leadership position involving oversight of catering operations within one complex location or an entire unit if the volume is under $100K. This dynamic role requires the individual to manage budgets and maintain catering accountability while collaborating closely with both customers and the culinary team to plan tailored events, including menu development, guest count management, timeline coordination, and pricing strategies. The Catering Manager also leads and supports chefs and catering assistants before, during, and after events, ensuring a seamless service experience.

In addition to hands-on leadership, the role requires developing and optimizing catering systems to drive growth and uphold excellence in customer service. The Catering Manager plans menus that align with customer expectations and budget constraints, manages cost controls diligently, oversees billing and sales verification, and reports financial performance regularly in partnership with general management. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with a background in catering management and hospitality to leverage their expertise in a supportive and growth-oriented environment. The role involves a combination of customer relations, financial acumen, team leadership, and operational excellence, making it ideal for an experienced individual who values quality and innovation in food service.
