The Catering Service Worker Lead position at Aramark is a supervisory role responsible for supporting and managing catering events of varying sizes and complexities at both central and satellite locations. This role requires excellent organizational skills as well as the ability to maintain and enforce all catering brand standards and initiatives consistently. The role includes direct supervision of catering operations such as coordinating staff and equipment, overseeing the setup, preparation, service, and breakdown of catered foods and beverages, ensuring smooth execution of events, and maintaining high safety, sanitation, and quality standards.

A key part of the position involves event booking, menu selection, pricing, and cost management, ensuring that events are profitable and meet client needs. The Catering Service Worker Lead also plays an important role in hiring, disciplining, and reviewing the performance of team members. Coordination with internal departments, management participation, vendor relations, and client interaction are also vital components of the job. Aramark compensates this role with an hourly rate of $25.50 and offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision coverage, retirement savings plans such as 401(k), paid time off including parental leave, and disability coverage. This position may require physical activity such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods. Job Duties

  • Develops and is accountable for a safety culture that creates a work environment where no one gets hurt
  • Directly supervises catering operations including coordination of staff and rental equipment, set-up, preparation, service, and break down of catered foods, beverages, and events
  • Booking of events, selecting and costing menu items, and pricing as needed
  • Assists with hiring, discipline, and performance reviews
  • Coordinates activities with other internal departments and participates in management team meetings
  • Interfaces with vendors and key service users within client organization
  • Facilitates external customer relations and represents Aramark and the client at meetings and events
  • Ensures appropriate sanitation, organization, and safety standards are met through checklists, hands-on supervision, and follow-up
  • Participates in all catering training programs and helps develop and implement training programs for hourly, part-time, and student employees
  • Aids in implementation and adherence to all Aramark OpX Catering initiatives and guidelines
