Job Requirements
- Hospitality experience of 5+ years
- kitchen management experience of 3+ years in large-volume catering
- certified Food Safety Manager (CA)
- ability to manage off-site kitchens at scale
- strong organizational and cost control skills
- effective vendor management
- leadership and communication skills
- flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and event schedules
- ability to commute within 50 miles of San Francisco
Job Qualifications
- Certified Food Safety Manager (CA)
- proven ability to run off-site kitchens at scale (stadiums, convention centers, cultural venues, festivals)
- strong organizational skills
- cost control expertise
- vendor management skills
- positive leadership and clear communication
- hospitality experience of 5+ years with 3+ years kitchen management
- multilingual abilities such as Spanish or Mandarin a plus
- flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and event schedules
Job Duties
- Oversee commissary prep and off-site kitchen set-ups for high-volume events
- direct kitchen staff and logistics teams to ensure seamless transport, assembly, service, and teardown
- maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and labor standards
- control inventory, procurement, and vendor relationships
- monitor labor and food costs to meet budget goals
- train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff
- step in hands-on when needed from line cooking to full kitchen oversight
