Job Requirements

  • Hospitality experience of 5+ years
  • kitchen management experience of 3+ years in large-volume catering
  • certified Food Safety Manager (CA)
  • ability to manage off-site kitchens at scale
  • strong organizational and cost control skills
  • effective vendor management
  • leadership and communication skills
  • flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and event schedules
  • ability to commute within 50 miles of San Francisco

Job Qualifications

  • Certified Food Safety Manager (CA)
  • proven ability to run off-site kitchens at scale (stadiums, convention centers, cultural venues, festivals)
  • strong organizational skills
  • cost control expertise
  • vendor management skills
  • positive leadership and clear communication
  • hospitality experience of 5+ years with 3+ years kitchen management
  • multilingual abilities such as Spanish or Mandarin a plus
  • flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and event schedules

Job Duties

  • Oversee commissary prep and off-site kitchen set-ups for high-volume events
  • direct kitchen staff and logistics teams to ensure seamless transport, assembly, service, and teardown
  • maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and labor standards
  • control inventory, procurement, and vendor relationships
  • monitor labor and food costs to meet budget goals
  • train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff
  • step in hands-on when needed from line cooking to full kitchen oversight
