This role is a Catering Executive Chef position focused on leading high-end culinary operations within a corporate Executive Briefing Center environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional fine-dining experiences specifically tailored to VIP clients, with a strong emphasis on Asian cuisine and Asian-inspired dishes. The Catering Executive Chef will oversee all kitchen operations while maintaining a safe, sanitary, and efficient workspace. This position offers the benefit of a Monday-to-Friday schedule, promoting work-life balance in a professional corporate setting. The role demands a culinary expert who is passionate about luxury hospitality and who demonstrates entrepreneurial spirit. Job Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent culinary experience
- 5+ years of progressive culinary and kitchen management experience
- Extensive high-end catering, VIP, or private chef experience
- Strong expertise in Asian cuisine
- Knowledge of food and catering trends
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer systems
- Must be willing to participate in client satisfaction programs
- ServSafe certification highly desirable
- Ability to comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations
- Ability to maintain safe and sanitary work environment
- Availability for Monday through Friday schedule
- Strong leadership and communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent culinary experience
- 5+ years of progressive culinary and kitchen management experience depending upon formal degree or training
- Extensive high-end catering, VIP, or private chef experience
- Strong expertise in Asian cuisine
- High volume, complex foodservice operations experience is highly desirable
- Institutional and batch cooking experiences
- Hands-on chef with the ability to lead while actively cooking
- Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, and general computer systems
- Must be willing to participate in client satisfaction programs and activities
- ServSafe certification is highly desirable
- Proficiency in an Asian language is a plus to support communication with a diverse, global client base
Job Duties
- Plan and execute VIP catering menus and private chef experiences focused on Asian cuisine and Asian-inspired dishes
- Follow standardized recipes, portioning, and presentation standards while maintaining elevated fine dining quality
- Complete and utilize daily production worksheets and waste logs
- Taste and verify all finished dishes for quality and consistency
- Train kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling, operation of equipment, food safety and sanitation based on company and regulatory standards
- Establish and maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment, storage and work areas
- Ensure kitchen staff follows and completes schedules as assigned
- Maintain inventory of food and non-food supplies to stay within established guidelines
- Make all decisions regarding utilization of leftover food products staying within company guidelines
- Comply with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures
- Follow facility, department, and company safety policies and procedures including occurrence reporting
- Participate and attend departmental meetings, staff development, and professional programs as appropriate
