Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in catering, food preparation, or food service preferred
- Ability to learn and adhere to food health and safety regulations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism and follow dress codes
- Physical endurance for lifting, standing, and moving for long periods
- Availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Job Qualifications
- Prior work history in catering, food preparation, food service, and customer service preferred
- Knowledgeable or able to learn current food health and safety regulations
- Reliable, able to work well in fast-paced environments, organized and efficient
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to follow dress-code guidelines maintaining professionalism and competence
- Physically able to lift 50lbs, push and pull heavy catering carts, bend, climb stairs, stand and walk for entire scheduled shift
Job Duties
- Setting up dining and event areas as per the catering manager's instructions
- Ensuring all tableware, place settings, serving pieces and decorations are cleaned and available before each catering event
- Performing food preparation tasks including washing, peeling, cutting produce, seasoning, slicing meats, and preparing sauces and salads
- Loading and unloading food, tableware, and catering supplies on and off catering vehicles and carts
- Accurately setting up tabletop place settings including utensils, glasses, plates, etc.
- Appropriately cleaning and storing catering equipment including chafing dishes, tableware, and platters after each catering event
- Responding to guests' catering-related questions and addressing concerns or requests
- Performing additional duties as assigned
