The Catering Event Staff position at American Dining Creations in St. Louis, Missouri, is a dynamic and integral role within the hospitality services team. This job entails providing exceptional customer service by supporting the preparation, transportation, and execution of catering events. The role’s daily responsibilities involve attentiveness to guest needs, effective communication within a team environment, food preparation, organized supply management, and professional event setup and breakdown. Catering Event Staff are essential in ensuring all catering events run smoothly and that guests receive a hospitable and professional experience. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience in catering, food preparation, or food service preferred
  • Ability to learn and adhere to food health and safety regulations
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and follow dress codes
  • Physical endurance for lifting, standing, and moving for long periods
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Prior work history in catering, food preparation, food service, and customer service preferred
  • Knowledgeable or able to learn current food health and safety regulations
  • Reliable, able to work well in fast-paced environments, organized and efficient
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to follow dress-code guidelines maintaining professionalism and competence
  • Physically able to lift 50lbs, push and pull heavy catering carts, bend, climb stairs, stand and walk for entire scheduled shift

Job Duties

  • Setting up dining and event areas as per the catering manager's instructions
  • Ensuring all tableware, place settings, serving pieces and decorations are cleaned and available before each catering event
  • Performing food preparation tasks including washing, peeling, cutting produce, seasoning, slicing meats, and preparing sauces and salads
  • Loading and unloading food, tableware, and catering supplies on and off catering vehicles and carts
  • Accurately setting up tabletop place settings including utensils, glasses, plates, etc.
  • Appropriately cleaning and storing catering equipment including chafing dishes, tableware, and platters after each catering event
  • Responding to guests' catering-related questions and addressing concerns or requests
  • Performing additional duties as assigned
