Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum two years of hotel or event management experience
  • proficiency in computer applications relevant to event sales
  • excellent communication skills
  • strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • customer service orientation
  • attention to detail

Job Qualifications

  • True desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
  • refined verbal and written communication skills
  • proficiency in general computer knowledge
  • extremely detail oriented and organized
  • minimum two years hotel experience or completed event management trainee program
  • ability to work flexible schedule

Job Duties

  • Sell banquet food, beverage and meeting room rentals
  • plan menus and set agendas
  • develop business and review contracts
  • facilitate communication before, during and after events with hotel staff
  • host hotel tours for prospective clients
  • maintain strong customer relationships
  • participate and potentially lead event and staff meetings
  • collaborate with sales, events staff, and administrative assistants
