This role as an Event Planner at Marriott International is essential for orchestrating seamless event experiences from start to finish. The Event Planner is responsible for preparing all event documentation and coordinating with Sales, property departments, and customers to ensure a consistent, high level of service during the pre-event, event, and post-event phases. Handling events of average complexity, this position acts as the critical liaison between sales teams and customers, ensuring smooth transitions and outstanding execution. The Event Planner identifies opportunities for generating additional revenue by up-selling and offering event enhancements, contributing to the property's overall success. Key responsibilities include managing event logistics and operations, greeting customers during events, ensuring billing accuracy, managing group room blocks and meeting spaces, and addressing operational challenges through collaboration and creative solutions. The Event Planner is also responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by setting a positive example, engaging with guests, resolving complaints, and continuously improving service standards based on feedback. Leading event management teams through pre- and post-event meetings, assisting sales with forecasting and revenue opportunities, and supporting staff development through performance reviews and corrective action are integral parts of the role. Job Requirements
