The Events Operator Lead role at Aramark plays a critical leadership function within premium services operations, such as catering, restaurant, or suite environments. This position is responsible for overseeing and delegating daily operational tasks to ensure excellent service delivery tailored to meet client expectations. The Events Operator Lead ensures that work areas are properly set up according to banquet event orders, Aramark standards, and guest requests, and maintains service areas to high standards of cleanliness and replenishment.

This role involves extensive employee training and guidance focused on job duties, food safety, sanitation, and customer service excellence. The lead drives the team to anticipate and satisfy guests' needs, enhancing the overall customer experience. Solid safety practices in line with Aramark's policies are enforced to protect both employees and customers and to maintain the security of company assets. Working in an environment that requires flexibility, the Events Operator Lead is expected to adapt to changing job duties and business needs promptly.

Ideal candidates for this position bring supervisory experience in related roles and a background in food service, preferably as a server or equivalent. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, are essential for training staff and coordinating operations effectively. The Events Operator Lead must be self-motivated, able to work independently with limited supervision, and committed to upholding food safety principles, including acquiring necessary certifications. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is also required due to the nature of the event-based schedule. This role demands physical activities such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing, often requiring the use of uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE).

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience in food service or related hospitality role
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to train and guide staff
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Physical ability to perform lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods
  • Must be able to obtain food safety certification
  • Willingness to wear uniforms and PPE as required

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a supervisor in a related role preferred
  • Previous experience as a server or in a food service role required
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service skills
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Requires ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Working knowledge of food safety principles and procedures
  • Must be able to obtain a food safety certification
  • Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Job Duties

  • Schedules and assigns daily work assignments within a premium services operation
  • Oversees the completion of tasks within a catering, restaurant, or suites environment
  • Trains and guides staff on job duties, proper food safety and sanitation, customer service
  • Sets up work areas according to guest/client requests, banquet event orders, Aramark standards
  • Ensures service areas are maintained including replenishment of product, cleanliness
  • Provides excellent customer service, anticipating guests’ needs
  • Maintains a positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers
  • Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
  • Ensures security of company assets
