The university is committed to its mission of assisting individuals in their quest for perfection and eternal life, fostering not only intellectual growth but also spiritual development among its students, faculty, and staff. The campus boasts a rich history and beautiful grounds that enhance the inspiring atmosphere where employees and students alike thrive. Working at BYU means becoming part of a supportive and faith-driven community that values diversity, personal growth, and a commitment to service.

The role of Catering Event Coordinator at BYU is an integral part of the university’s catering services. This position is responsible for overseeing the setup, service, and cleanup of catered events held on campus, ensuring that every event runs smoothly and meets high standards of quality. The Catering Event Coordinator also plays a key role in training and supervising student employees, fostering their skills and ensuring operational efficiency. Responsibilities may extend to managing wedding coordination duties, demonstrating flexibility and attention to detail. The role demands collaboration with various departments including culinary teams, custodial services, and banquet staff to create seamless experiences for clients. With a typical starting pay ranging from $22.75 to $29.50 per hour, depending on experience, and a pay grade of 49, this position offers a competitive hourly wage within a well-established institution.

In addition to competitive pay, this full-time position at BYU comes with a robust benefits package designed to support employees’ well-being and professional growth. Employees gain access to 401k plans with automatic contributions, generous vacation and sick leave, paid holidays, and comprehensive medical and dental coverage. The position also offers wellness programs, paid parental and maternity leave, free on-campus parking, and discounted access to various university amenities, making BYU not only a reputable employer but also one that values its staff's quality of life. Those interested in the position must be committed to the mission of BYU and are preferably members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, reflecting the university's unique cultural and spiritual environment. This role requires a physical exam and a lift test, given the moderate physical effort involved, such as lifting objects up to 50 lbs and occasional exposure to variable environmental conditions.
