The General Utility Worker role at Aramark is an essential entry-level position within the company’s service team. This role focuses on maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the food service environments, including tasks such as cleaning dishes, pots, pans, silverware, kitchen utensils, and equipment to uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety. It also involves caring for the dishwashing station and related areas, ensuring all kitchen tools and equipment are clean and functional. Reporting equipment malfunctions to management and assisting with light maintenance and custodial duties contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of Aramark’s service facilities.

This position requires an individual who takes pride in their work, exhibits a positive attitude, and is committed to excellent customer service. Job Requirements

  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in a similar cleaning or sanitation role preferred but not required
  • ability to follow safety guidelines and proper handling of hazardous materials
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • physical ability to perform lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing
  • willingness to wear required uniforms and/or personal protective equipment (PPE)

Job Qualifications

  • Demonstrates an understanding of basic sanitation procedures
  • must be able to follow basic safety procedures due to exposure to hazardous chemicals
  • must be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Job Duties

  • Ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining all dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, equipment, and kitchen utensils are cleaned and sanitized
  • maintains dishwashing station, three compartment sink and related areas cleaned
  • ensures equipment is clean and in working condition
  • reports any issues to management
  • performs other light maintenance and custodial tasks
  • maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guest, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
  • adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
  • ensures security of company assets
