Job Description
Meals Now is a distinguished independent catering delivery company operating in Cape Coral, Florida. Unlike traditional gig apps, Meals Now prides itself on being a white-glove service provider trusted by leading national brands. The company focuses exclusively on delivering high-standard catering orders from premium restaurant partners to corporate offices, hospitals, schools, and event venues. This specialization ensures that both our clients and their customers receive exceptional service marked by professionalism, punctuality, and attention to detail. Meals Now stands out for its commitment to representing its clients' brands with the utmost care, requiring drivers to maintain a clean, professional appearance and provide reliable, courteous delivery experiences.
This role as an Independent Contractor Delivery Partner centers entirely on catering delivery—no fast food, groceries, or gig stacking opportunities are provided or allowed. The pay range is competitive, falling between $18 and $50+ per order, with weekly payments made via Gig Safe, and additional incentives are offered based on on-time streaks, tier levels, and photo quality of delivery setups. Drivers work primarily during weekday morning and lunch shifts, between 7 AM and 2 PM, with business hours extending from 7 AM to 11 PM EST daily, though the busiest days are Tuesday through Friday.
The role requires more than just transportation skills. Drivers pick up large catering orders and ensure that food is delivered and properly set up in the designated locations, often involving light lifting and careful handling of boxed meals and hot bags. Drivers document delivery by taking clean setup photos that reflect the quality of service and the professionalism Meals Now stands for. This attention to detail helps maintain the company's white-glove reputation and ensures client satisfaction with every delivery.
As a high-standard delivery partner, drivers must bring their own reliable car, van, or SUV—bicycles are not accepted in most markets. They must have a valid driver's license, insurance, and a smartphone with internet/data capability to stay connected and use the Meals Now app effectively throughout their shifts. A catering bag and a cart are necessary tools of the trade, either owned or purchased by the driver. Professional appearance guidelines prohibit gym clothes, hoodies, and slides, emphasizing the company's commitment to brand image and presentation.
Communication and punctuality are critical to success in this role. Drivers must inform dispatchers at least four hours in advance if they decide not to fulfill an accepted order on the day of delivery to prevent conflicts and ensure smooth operations. Marking arrival and completion times are strictly regulated, limiting drivers to mark their arrival at pickup only four minutes early or on time, and marking deliveries as completed precisely at the scheduled drop-off time. This system maintains fairness, consistency, and client satisfaction throughout the delivery process.
Meals Now actively seeks top-tier drivers who are dependable, communicative, and take pride in their work. Only a limited number of high-performing drivers are accepted in each market to maintain the company's standards and ensure drivers receive consistent work and recognition. This exclusive model fosters a professional environment where drivers and clients alike can trust that every delivery will be executed with excellence.
