Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • ability to read, write, and understand verbal instructions
  • completion or willingness to complete a sanitation course
  • ability to perform basic arithmetic
  • maintain emotional control under stress
  • ability to resolve interpersonal situations
  • strong organizational skills
  • ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods
  • willingness to wear uniform and use personal protective equipment (PPE)

Job Qualifications

  • must complete a sanitation course before or during the first year as a lead

Job Duties

  • Produce and maintain work schedules
  • prepare production records
  • direct daily activities
  • maintain food production ensuring safety and quality
  • ensure proper storage of food items
  • maintain serving schedules according to menu specifications
  • maintain a sanitary environment per health and safety codes
  • maintain accurate weekly inventory
  • prepare vendor orders to ensure accurate production
  • operate cost-effective food service program
  • supervise and evaluate employees
  • counsel employees
  • promote employee growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork
