Job Description
FIFA26 is an organization dedicated to bringing people together through the world’s most celebrated sporting event, the FIFA World Cup. The upcoming tournament, FIFA World Cup 26™, is set to be groundbreaking, as it will be the first edition to feature 48 teams and is uniquely hosted across three North American countries: Canada, Mexico, and the United States. This ambitious event is designed to elevate the global football experience, providing enhanced opportunities for fan engagement, player participation, and cross-cultural celebration. FIFA26 stands at the forefront of orchestrating this unprecedented event, blending sports excellence with a commitment to inclusivity, innovation, and sustainable event management.
The role available is for a Catering Coordinator focused on match days during the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 and the FIFA World Cup 26™ event operations. This position will be a fixed-term contract based onsite in Dallas. As a vital member of the event workforce, the Catering Coordinator reports directly to the Head of Catering and plays a critical role in ensuring the flawless execution of all food and beverage services across various functional areas within the venue, including teams, officials, media, volunteers, sponsors, and suppliers.
This position demands a hands-on approach to managing catering operations during match days, guaranteeing an exceptional dining experience for all stakeholders involved. The coordinator will collaborate closely with multiple key departments such as stadium management, caterers, infrastructure teams, security, IT, marketing, and venue operations to maintain seamless service delivery. This role is highly dynamic and requires sharp logistical skills, effective communication, and the ability to adapt swiftly to real-time challenges during the high-pressure tournament environment.
Key responsibilities include coordination of catering logistics, maintaining accurate meal count records, overseeing on-site service delivery and guest flow, compiling daily performance data, and contributing to post-event analysis and sustainability reporting. In addition to operational duties, the coordinator will support training sessions for catering staff and provide documentation that highlights service setups and environmental initiatives.
FIFA26 seeks candidates who demonstrate accountability, decisiveness, inclusivity, initiative, innovation, leadership, and vision. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or higher education in Hospitality Management, Events Management, Culinary Arts, or Food Service Management. A background comprising at least three years of project management or related experience is required, alongside proven skills in logistics coordination, operational leadership, and multi-zone management during intense event schedules. International experience, particularly with large-scale sports events or FIFA tournaments, is highly desirable.
Strong communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to resolve conflicts effectively are critical for this role. Fluency in English is mandatory, with proficiency in Spanish or French considered an asset. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, planning software, and collaboration tools will enable the candidate to execute reporting and operational planning efficiently.
Beyond the professional scope, FIFA26 offers a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, as well as a 401k retirement plan. This opportunity is perfect for individuals passionate about sports hospitality, eager to contribute to a world-class event, and thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural environment. Join FIFA26 to make an indelible impact on the global sporting landscape and experience the excitement of the world’s most prestigious football tournament.
