Job Requirements

  • Proven experience as a cook
  • valid CA driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • experience using cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware
  • knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods such as grilling, baking, and boiling
  • ability to follow all sanitation procedures
  • ability to work in a team
  • strong interpersonal skills and clear communication
  • excellent time management and flexibility to work shifts including evenings and weekends
  • high school diploma or GED

Job Duties

  • Prepare high-quality ingredients such as chopping and peeling vegetables and cutting meat
  • execute various cooking methods including grilling, baking, and boiling
  • check ingredient quality and ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before service
  • maintain a pristine kitchen environment by organizing, sanitizing, and setting up all stations for efficiency
  • manage proper labeling, rotation, and storage of all food items following health and safety standards
  • load and unload dishwashers and hand-wash specialized items like large pots, wooden boards, and delicate china
  • store clean dishes, glasses, and equipment appropriately
  • set up workstations before meal prep begins
  • safely transport meals to the Watsonville site using a company vehicle and manage the setup, service, and breakdown of remote dining areas
  • proactively stock snack and beverage stations and maintain a clean, welcoming service area
