The Cook will be involved in every aspect of meal preparation, from meticulous ingredient prep and high-heat grilling to managing kitchen cleanliness and organization. The Cook will not only prepare high-quality meals but will also be entrusted with safely transporting meals between company sites, ensuring excellent service in remote dining setups.

The shifts for this position include rotation schedules designed to accommodate different operational needs, offering options such as Wednesday through Sunday or Friday through Tuesday. Shift hours vary from early mornings starting at 4:30 or 5:30 AM to early afternoon closures. The position offers a target base pay range of $23 to $30 per hour, supplemented by Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) which provide an opportunity for the Cook to share in the company’s future growth and success. Job Duties

  • Prepare high-quality ingredients such as chopping and peeling vegetables and cutting meat
  • execute various cooking methods including grilling, baking, and boiling
  • check ingredient quality and ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before service
  • maintain a pristine kitchen environment by organizing, sanitizing, and setting up all stations for efficiency
  • manage proper labeling, rotation, and storage of all food items following health and safety standards
  • load and unload dishwashers and hand-wash specialized items like large pots, wooden boards, and delicate china
  • store clean dishes, glasses, and equipment appropriately
  • set up workstations before meal prep begins
  • safely transport meals to the Watsonville site using a company vehicle and manage the setup, service, and breakdown of remote dining areas
  • proactively stock snack and beverage stations and maintain a clean, welcoming service area
