Job Requirements

  • Proven experience as a cook with a deep understanding of various cooking procedures and kitchen equipment
  • A valid CA driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware
  • Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods including grilling, baking, and boiling
  • Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Strong interpersonal skills, you work well under pressure and communicate clearly with teammates
  • Excellent time management skills and the flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • High school diploma or GED

Job Duties

  • Prepare high-quality ingredients such as chopping and peeling vegetables and cutting meat
  • Execute various cooking methods including grilling, baking, and boiling
  • Check ingredient quality and ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before service
  • Maintain a pristine kitchen environment by organizing, sanitizing, and setting up all stations for maximum efficiency
  • Manage the proper labeling, rotation, and storage of all food items strictly adhering to health and safety standards
  • Load and unload dishwashers and hand-wash specialized items such as large pots, wooden boards, and delicate china
  • Store clean dishes, glasses, and equipment appropriately
  • Set up workstations before meal prep begins
  • Safely transport meals to the Watsonville site using a company vehicle and manage the setup, service, and breakdown of remote dining areas
  • Proactively stock snack and beverage stations and maintain a welcoming, clean service area
