The Chef Manager role at Aramark is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of outstanding culinary experiences coupled with top-notch customer service. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Chef Manager is entrusted with hands-on leadership responsibilities including team development, culinary innovation, safety protocol enforcement, and client engagement. This professional will be actively involved in managing kitchen personnel, overseeing culinary activities, and ensuring that the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and sanitation are met consistently. The Chef Manager also plays a strategic role in managing costs effectively by meeting budget requirements and participating in the execution of company programs and initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in a related position
  • 2-3 years of post-high school education or equivalent experience
  • Culinary degree preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of principles and practices within the food profession
  • Experiential knowledge of management of people and or problems
  • Oral reading and written communication skills

Job Duties

  • Train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise coordinate all related culinary activities
  • Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food
  • Select and develop recipes as well as standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality
  • Establish presentation technique and quality standards and plan and price menus
  • Ensure proper equipment operation maintenance and ensure proper safety and sanitation in kitchen
  • Oversee special catering events and may also offer culinary instruction and or demonstrates culinary techniques
