Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a professional kitchen environment
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and compliance
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Physical ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift heavy items
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety

Job Qualifications

  • Proven culinary experience in catering or similar role
  • Experience training and managing kitchen staff
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to develop and standardize recipes
  • Competency in menu planning and pricing
  • Excellent team leadership and communication skills
  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise and coordinate all related culinary activities
  • Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food
  • Select and develop recipes as well as standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality
  • Establish presentation technique and quality standards, and plan and price menus
  • Ensure proper equipment operation and maintenance and ensure proper safety and sanitation in kitchen
  • Execute all catering events and offer culinary instruction and demonstrations
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to food safety regulations
