The Chef de Cuisine role at LifeWorks is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing and enhancing catering operations at one of the company’s premier locations. This salaried position offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $78,000 to $85,000 annually, reflecting the importance of culinary excellence and operational expertise. The role demands a seasoned professional with significant hands-on experience in high-volume catering environments, demonstrated leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex culinary teams and operations efficiently. Responsibilities include full culinary execution from menu creation, recipe standardization, food quality assurance, and staff mentorship to ensure seamless service delivery during catering events. The Chef de Cuisine will also be tasked with managing food purchasing and inventory, maintaining equipment and sanitation standards, and delivering an exceptional dining experience that aligns with the brand’s reputation. By driving operational excellence and setting high standards for kitchen staff, the Chef de Cuisine contributes directly to the success and growth of LifeWorks Restaurant Group and its client partnerships.

Job Requirements
- At least 2-3 years of experience in a related culinary position
- 2-3 years of post-high school education preferably in culinary arts
- advanced knowledge of food service principles and practices
- proven experience managing kitchen teams and operations
- excellent communication skills
- ability to maintain high safety and sanitation standards
- leadership capabilities to train and supervise staff
Job Qualifications
- Requires at least 2-3 years in a related position
- requires at least 2-3 years of post-high school education, preferably a culinary degree
- requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession
- requires experiential knowledge of management of people and/or problems
- requires verbal, reading, and written communication skills
Job Duties
- Trains and leads kitchen personnel
- supervises and coordinates all related culinary activities
- estimates food consumption and requisitions or purchases food
- selects and develops recipes and standardizes production recipes to ensure consistent quality
- establishes presentation technique and quality standards and plans and prices menus
- ensures proper equipment operation and maintenance and ensures proper safety and sanitation in the kitchen
- oversees special catering events and may offer culinary instruction and/or demonstrate culinary techniques
