Job Requirements

  • ServeSafe certification required
  • Ability to walk, stand, and sit for long periods
  • Physical ability to maneuver around venue including lifting 50 lbs or more
  • Ability to work in noisy, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Culinary education or equivalent experience

Job Qualifications

  • Certificate from accredited culinary school, college or technical school
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on culinary experience with at least 1 year supervisory experience
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong communication skills fostering positive work environment
  • Proficiency with food service and kitchen equipment
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, POS, and timekeeping systems
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Exceptional hospitality and customer service skills
  • Ability to make independent, sound decisions
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Lead culinary operations ensuring top quality, presentation, and service
  • Collaborate with catering and management teams for event planning and execution
  • Coordinate with event planners, sales teams, and clients to customize menus
  • Design innovative menus catering to diverse dietary needs
  • Manage kitchen staff providing training, guidance, and leadership
  • Assist with food purchasing, cost control, and budget management
  • Develop and maintain SOPs for kitchen operations
  • Uphold health, safety, and sanitation compliance
  • Stay updated on culinary trends and innovations
  • Assist in hiring, onboarding, and training staff
  • Direct and coach departmental personnel
  • Implement corrective actions with Human Resources
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
