The Captain position at Aramark is a critical role within the catering and events service team. The Captain leads servers and bussers to ensure that all catering events are executed smoothly and provide excellent guest service. This role involves overseeing the setup, service, and cleanup of catering events, including transporting materials and food, setting tables according to banquet protocols, and maintaining equipment and supplies. The Captain also ensures compliance with safety regulations, manages staffing and sanitation, and may occasionally open or close the facility. This position operates in a dynamic, event-based setting where schedules can vary, generally working around 3 to 4 events yearly. It is a union position under Unite Here Local 11, with a progressive wage structure starting at 80% of the negotiated pay rate and increasing after a set number of shifts.

This job pays an hourly rate of $16.90 at the starting 80% wage level and includes comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, vision coverage, retirement savings plans like 401(k), paid time off including parental leave and disability coverage, and additional work/life resources. The role demands physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently while standing or walking for extended periods, as well as the ability to safely handle event setup and equipment transportation.
