The role of Catering Captain at Friendsview Retirement Community is an exciting part-time opportunity crafted for individuals who have a passion for hospitality, teamwork, and making meaningful contributions through their work. This position is vital to the smooth execution of catering and dining events held within the community. Catering Captains play a key leadership role by managing catering staff during events, ensuring every detail from setup to cleanup meets the high standards of the community. The role offers an hourly wage ranging from $19.40 to $20.87, depending on experience, with a part-time variable schedule primarily from Monday to Saturday and requiring availability on Tuesdays and weekends.
As a Catering Captain, you will not only ensure the delivery of excellent customer service and food presentation but also contribute to cultivating a team-first environment where every event is a success. Responsibilities include organizing event setups, coordinating food and beverage service, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and training new team members, which makes it a fantastic opportunity for those wishing to develop leadership skills in a hospitality setting. Strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to work collaboratively with colleagues to create memorable dining experiences highlight the nature of this position. In joining Friendsview, you become part of a supportive team focused on providing not just a service, but an experience that enriches the lives of older adults. This job offers more than just employment; it is an opportunity to grow professionally and personally in a meaningful field. Friendsview is dedicated to ensuring that each Catering Captain is supported and valued, fostering a workplace culture where every team member can contribute to a mission larger than themselves.
