This dedication to holistic hospitality management distinguishes SSA as a leader in the industry, providing not only services but also solutions that enhance the overall guest experience.
The Catering Bartender position is an on-call role designed for dynamic individuals who thrive in event-driven environments. Reporting to the Catering Supervisor(s) and Catering Operations Manager(s), this position demands an energetic and customer-oriented professional who embodies the principles of 452 Hospitality by delivering warm, welcoming, and memorable experiences to every guest and client. The Catering Bartender will oversee product quality, inventory levels, and event bar preparation while ensuring compliance with all company policies and safety standards. Responsibilities also include efficient guest service, prompt complaint resolution, and executing proper setup, execution, and cleanup of bar areas during events.
This role requires excellent knowledge of alcoholic beverages and bartending techniques, combined with responsible service practices. The ability to maintain a safe and friendly environment is key to fostering positive guest interactions. Beyond bartending skills, the position involves physical stamina to perform manual labor such as event setup and teardown, storage equipment handling, and maintaining an organized workspace. Effective communication and collaboration with event leaders and team members are crucial to the overall success of banquet events.
Furthermore, the role emphasizes inclusivity and belonging within the team, encouraging an atmosphere that removes barriers and promotes growth and opportunity for all staff members. Sustainability and conservation efforts are integral to this position, with expectations for the bartender to lead by example and support community engagement initiatives spearheaded by SSA.
This position offers eligible overtime pay, an On-Demand Pay Program providing early access to earned wages, meal plans, employee discounts, and participation in a 401(k) program with a significant company match for eligible employees. Additional benefits include tuition discounts through a partnership college, bereavement leave, holiday pay at increased rates for specific holidays, and paid sick leave adhering to state and local laws. The SSA Group and its affiliates maintain a strong commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity in their hiring practices, fostering a workplace where all employees can thrive.
The Catering Bartender will work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the nature of event scheduling. This role demands physical endurance, adaptability to fast-paced conditions, and a commitment to upholding professional standards and company policies. By joining SSA, candidates become part of a passionate team dedicated to creating special hospitality moments that leave lasting impacts for clients and guests alike.
