Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Six months experience in bar-backing or related food service role preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate respectfully with guests and coworkers
- Must be able to lift and transport beverages and equipment
- Ability to follow safety protocols and report hazards
- Ability to work well under pressure in fast-paced event environment
Job Qualifications
- Six months experience bar-backing or similar role preferred
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Detail-oriented and able to multi-task effectively in dynamic environment
- Self-directed and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work a flexible, event-based schedule including nights and weekends
Job Duties
- Have bars moved and set up according to banquet event order on time for catered events
- Transition bar setup to alternate location during event as needed
- Accountable for received inventory and product storage while maintaining clean and organized bar area
- Report unsafe working conditions and injuries immediately to manager on duty
- Transport beverages including beer, wine, liquor, garnishes, ice, and mixers to bars
- Prep, stock, and restock assigned bars including changing kegs
- Complete accurate transfer paperwork with bartender every time an item is stocked
- Clean, sanitize and organize workspaces and handle garbage disposal
- Communicate respectfully with guests, co-workers, and manager on duty
- Monitor guest activity to prevent outside beverage consumption
- Learn beverage products during training
- Assist bartenders by serving beverages and checking ID in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly, including slowing down or cutting off service as needed
