We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Banquet Cook to join our Catering and Banquet Team. This role is perfect for culinary professionals who flourish in a high-volume kitchen setting and who have a desire to expand their culinary expertise across diverse cuisines. As a Banquet Cook, you will play a key role in executing catering services almost entirely on-site, preparing elegant and high-quality food offerings for a variety of upscale events including weddings, corporate functions, and private celebrations. Working alongside the Banquet Sous Chef and kitchen leadership, you will assist in meal preparation and service to ensure that every event is executed flawlessly and exceeds our members' expectations. The Banquet Cook position requires open availability to meet the scheduling needs of various events and functions hosted by the club. Candidates with a background in banquet or catering experience and those who have previously worked in resort or private club kitchens are preferred. This role demands a high level of cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety standards in food handling and preparation. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in using kitchen equipment safely, managing food inventory, and ensuring that all food presentation meets the club's standards of excellence.
The physical demands of this position include the ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive motions, and lift items up to 50 pounds. The work environment is a professional kitchen that may be hot, humid, and noisy, typical of banquet and catering operations. Job Qualifications

- demonstrated ability to produce and plate all assigned menu items
- prior banquet or catering experience preferred
- ability to work well within a team environment
- knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations
- strong time management skills and ability to work with limited supervision
Job Duties
- Prepares food items for banquet service as assigned using standard recipes in accordance with club standards
- identifies and requisitions products needed for service
- operates food production equipment according to manufacturers' instructions
- notifies Banquet Chef or kitchen management in advance of expected product shortages
- covers, dates, and neatly stores re-usable leftover products as assigned
- ensures that work area, equipment, and small wares are clean and sanitary
- consistently uses safe and sanitary food handling practices
- serves food on buffet stations as assigned
- assists in the set-up and plating for meal service
- assists in the cleaning and organization of walk-in coolers, freezers, and storage areas
- assists with preparation for other club restaurant outlets as assigned
- attends kitchen staff meetings
- performs other appropriate tasks as assigned by the Banquet Chef or Executive Chef
