Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • prior prep/cooking experience in a professional kitchen
  • ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive motions
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • availability to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • knowledge of safe and sanitary food handling practices
  • ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • prior prep/cooking experience in a professional kitchen
  • demonstrated ability to produce and plate all assigned menu items
  • prior banquet or catering experience preferred
  • ability to work well within a team environment
  • knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations
  • strong time management skills and ability to work with limited supervision

Job Duties

  • Prepares food items for banquet service as assigned using standard recipes in accordance with club standards
  • identifies and requisitions products needed for service
  • operates food production equipment according to manufacturers' instructions
  • notifies Banquet Chef or kitchen management in advance of expected product shortages
  • covers, dates, and neatly stores re-usable leftover products as assigned
  • ensures that work area, equipment, and small wares are clean and sanitary
  • consistently uses safe and sanitary food handling practices
  • serves food on buffet stations as assigned
  • assists in the set-up and plating for meal service
  • assists in the cleaning and organization of walk-in coolers, freezers, and storage areas
  • assists with preparation for other club restaurant outlets as assigned
  • attends kitchen staff meetings
  • performs other appropriate tasks as assigned by the Banquet Chef or Executive Chef
