Job Description

Constellation is a premier brand specializing in business dining and catering services across the United States. Operating within a wide array of venues including retail spaces and office buildings, Constellation is committed to delivering exceptional culinary experiences that foster meaningful connections through food and hospitality. As a part of Elior North America, Constellation upholds a strong commitment to diversity and employee growth, cultivating an inclusive work culture that values every individual's background and abilities. Elior North America is a recognized equal opportunity employer that supports career development for employees at every level, offering robust opportunities for advancement either within the company corporate offices or various brand segments.

The Catering Attendant position with Constellation in Washington, DC, offers full-time employment with a competitive hourly wage of $25. This role is essential to maintaining the superior dining and event service that the brand is known for. The Catering Attendant plays a crucial role in ensuring that all food and beverage services during events meet the highest standards of presentation, safety, and customer satisfaction.

In this role, the Catering Attendant will take charge of stocking and replenishing kitchen pantries, conference room setups, and ensuring efficient food handling practices. Tasks include refilling supplies such as napkins, plates, utensils, coffee and tea accessories, and maintaining cleanliness throughout food service and preparation areas. Daily responsibilities extend to preparing and breaking down food stations in conference rooms, managing coffee machines and water fountains, and supporting event operations from setup through post-event cleanup. The attendant will also assist with assembling snack spreads and managing the presentation of food items to ensure a tidy and inviting display.

Beyond direct event support, the Catering Attendant will contribute to the organization and cleanliness of all behind-the-scenes areas including kitchens, storage rooms, and pantries. Duties here involve restocking supplies, managing inventory, and ensuring food safety standards by organizing refrigerators and disposing of expired items. The role requires a cooperative team player who possesses excellent communication, attention to detail, and service knowledge to deliver harmonious and efficient event service.

Candidates should have at least one year of banquet or wait staff experience; experience in a commissary program is desirable but not mandatory. The position demands strong organizational skills and the ability to work flexibly on a rotating schedule to cover various service areas both on the floor and behind the scenes.

This comprehensive role requires a proactive attitude, a commitment to high standards, and a sincere passion for hospitality. The position offers an enriching environment equipped with countless opportunities for personal and professional growth. Employees are supported through extensive benefits including medical, dental, vision insurance, voluntary accident and illness coverage, commuter benefits, and tuition reimbursement.

Joining Constellation means becoming part of a dedicated team that values quality, connection, and an outstanding guest experience. The Catering Attendant role is perfect for someone aspiring to build a rewarding career in catering and event services within a respected and growing company.
