We are seeking a skilled and motivated Catering Server with experience in banquet and reception food service to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will play a crucial part in setting up and breaking down banquet venues, delivering and presenting food and beverages professionally, and providing attentive and knowledgeable service in a fast-paced environment. The position requires proficiency in carving and saute techniques, the ability to lead and coordinate with support staff, and a friendly, professional demeanor when interacting with clients. You will be responsible for following detailed menu orders and function sheets to assure the seamless delivery of catering services. Physical stamina is essential as this position requires standing, walking, and lifting throughout shifts.

The ideal candidate will be a member in good standing of the local Union and possess excellent communication skills to converse effectively with customers, supervisors, and team members. This role demands a well-groomed appearance and the ability to adapt quickly to changing situations while maintaining a calm and professional attitude. Attention to cleanliness and restocking is vital to preserve the work environment and service quality. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years (21 where applicable)
  • Ability to take direction and effectively perform the work
  • Follow all rules and regulations of local health authority and ServeSafe guidelines
  • Pleasant personality and neat appearance
  • Speak and understand English well enough to converse with customers, supervisors and employees
  • Experience in carving and saute on station
  • Member in good standing of the local Union
  • Ability to continuously stand, walk, push, and/or carry for the duration of the shift
  • Ability to lift, carry and push according to industry standards

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Set-up and break-down banquet locations as required
  • Deliver and present food to clients in a professional and efficient manner
  • Provide quality service to sit-down banquets
  • Converse with customers regarding menu, wines, and dressings
  • Set-up and break-down assigned food and beverage locations for receptions
  • Deliver, present, and display food to clients creatively and professionally
  • Carve A La Carte and perform saute station duties
  • Lead and direct Bus Persons and extra help when necessary
  • Set-up and break-down buffets, dining tables, and VIP room locations
  • Follow delivery and function sheets according to menu orders
  • Maintain cleanliness of food and beverage areas
  • Organize and prepare supplies for efficient delivery
  • Restock necessary supplies at end of shift
