Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in catering or food service preferred
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must adhere to dress code guidelines
- Willingness to learn and follow food safety regulations
- Reliable and punctual
Job Qualifications
- Prior work history in catering, food preparation, food service, and customer service are preferred
- Knowledgeable or able to learn current food health and safety regulations
- Reliable, able to work well in fast-paced environments
- Organized and efficient
- Strong communication skills
- Able to follow dress-code guidelines reflecting professionalism and competence
- Able to lift 50 pounds, push and pull heavy catering carts, bend, climb stairs, stand, and walk for entire scheduled shift
Job Duties
- Setting up dining and event areas as per the catering manager's instructions
- Ensuring all tableware, place settings, serving pieces and decor are cleaned and available before each catering event
- Performing food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, cutting produce, seasoning, slicing meats, and preparing sauces and salads
- Loading and unloading food, tableware, and catering supplies on and off catering vehicles and carts
- Accurately setting up tabletop place settings including utensils, glasses, plates, etc
- Appropriately cleaning and storing catering equipment including chafing dishes, tableware, and platters after each catering event
- Being prepared to answer guests' catering-related questions during events and address concerns or requests
- May be assigned other duties and responsibilities as needed
