Job Duties

  • Produce and prepare food for events and functions to comply with the menu and recipes
  • Display prepared food with an artistic mind and following recipes and assuring correct amounts are served per person
  • Check food deliveries for accuracy as required
  • Let Catering Manager know when items need to be ordered or running low on
  • Ensure all stock is stored appropriately using FIFO (first in, first out) rotation and labeled correctly with dates when storing
  • General kitchen cleaning to follow cleaning schedule
  • Dishwashing as needed, both manually and by machine
  • During event making sure food is out in a timely matter and you are watching the food and replenishing when needed during events
  • Be able to work on the fly and be patient when events do not go as planned
  • Treat customers and co-workers with courtesy and respect
  • Maintain a safe work environment according to federal and state regulations
  • Positively respond to direction and requests for assistance from co-workers, supervisors, managers, and guests
  • Take initiative to help any area of the Catering Department when possible
  • Undertake any other duties as may reasonably be requested of a Catering Assistant
