The employer is known for hosting a variety of functions including offsite catering, onsite special events, and community engagement activities. The pay for this position is competitive, starting at $20 per hour depending on experience, with additional commissions, reflecting the performance-driven nature of the role. The business is likely hospitality or food service oriented, focusing heavily on customer service, event coordination, and sales promotion through various channels including social media.
The Catering and Special Event Associate will assume a pivotal role in managing both offsite and onsite events, ensuring seamless operations from initial planning to execution. This is a dynamic position requiring a proactive individual capable of acting as the primary contact for catering services and special events. Key responsibilities include detailed event planning and coordination, communication with guests, onsite presence during events, and managing setup and service at offsite locations. This role also involves strategic customer outreach aimed at business expansion through soliciting new clients and developing promotional campaigns aligned with holidays and special occasions.
In addition to event management, the associate will drive marketing efforts particularly through social media platforms by documenting events and engaging directly with potential clients who celebrate important milestones like weddings and retirement parties. Coordination also encompasses managing unique event features such as taco trailers at golf events and partnerships with local businesses like dispensaries to create creative event experiences. To be successful, this role demands excellent organizational skills, a strong customer service orientation, and the ability to work collaboratively with general managers and other staff members to ensure extraordinary event execution.
The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and event planning who enjoy a variety of tasks including client interaction, marketing promotion, and hands-on event coordination. With a blend of independent responsibility and teamwork, it promises exposure to multiple facets of event management in a vibrant operational setting. The Commission-based component further incentivizes performance, rewarding those who can effectively attract and secure future event bookings. Overall, this role is ideal for spirited professionals looking to grow their career in catering and special events, contribute creatively to marketing strategies, and deliver memorable customer experiences.
