The role available is that of a Food Service Supervisor, a crucial position responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the food service department. This role includes supervising staff, training new employees, managing food production, and ensuring that all food items are prepared and served in appropriate quantities and according to safety and quality standards. The Food Service Supervisor must maintain a safe, organized, and sanitary environment compliant with health and safety regulations. This includes managing inventory, production records, and food storage practices. Additionally, the supervisor will produce and maintain work schedules, direct daily activities, and support employee growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork by providing counseling and evaluation. This position requires knowledge of cost-effective food programs and demands a high level of organizational skill and emotional control under stress. The role may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing, and may require the use of uniforms and personal protective equipment. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • basic arithmetic skills
  • ability to complete a sanitation course
  • experience in supervising or managing food service operations preferred
  • ability to maintain emotional control under stress
  • physical ability to perform duties including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, walking, and standing for extended periods
  • willingness to comply with uniform and personal protective equipment requirements
