This particular role is situated within Aramark's catering department, which plays an essential part in the company’s food service operations. The position focuses primarily on supervising, training, and managing the day-to-day activities of the food service team to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of catering events. Given the nature of catering work with its variable schedules and demand-driven workload, the candidate must be flexible with working hours and possess or have the capability of obtaining a valid driver’s license to facilitate travel and transport needs related to catering services. The specialist in this role is responsible for maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and sanitation, as well as overseeing inventory control and production schedules. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
- completion of sanitation course before or during first year
- ability to perform basic arithmetic
- maintain emotional control under stress
- ability to resolve interpersonal situations
- strong organizational skills
- valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one
- able to lift, bend, push, pull and/or walk and stand for extended periods
- willingness to wear uniforms and use personal protective equipment (PPE)
