Job Description
Aramark is a global leader in food service, facilities management, and uniform services, proudly serving millions of guests every day across 15 countries worldwide. The company is rooted in a strong commitment to service and driven by a clear purpose to make a positive impact on its employees, customers, partners, communities, and the planet. With a diverse and inclusive work environment, Aramark offers equal employment opportunities to all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, gender identity, disability, or other legally protected characteristics. Aramark fosters professional growth by encouraging employees to develop their talents and pursue meaningful careers in a supportive setting. This dedication to nurturing employee potential makes Aramark an attractive employer for individuals seeking a dynamic and rewarding workplace.
The role available is for a Food Service Supervisor within Aramark's catering department, responsible for overseeing the food service operations. This position requires the supervision, training, and management of staff involved in the preparation and service of food. The Food Service Supervisor must ensure that appropriate quantities of food are prepared and served according to company standards and policies. Due to the nature of catering, the role demands flexibility in scheduling as catering services do not follow a fixed timetable. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain one within the specified timeframe, given that the position may involve transportation responsibilities.
Key responsibilities include producing and maintaining work schedules, directing daily activities of food service employees, and maintaining food safety and quality. Maintaining a clean and hazard-free environment, ensuring accurate inventory management, and preparing vendor orders as needed, are all part of the role's core functions. Additionally, the Food Service Supervisor must actively promote employee development, efficiency, morale, and teamwork through effective supervision and evaluation. The position also emphasizes compliance with health and safety codes by maintaining sanitary conditions in the department. Candidates for this role should be able to manage an efficient, cost-effective food service program capable of meeting the demands of a busy catering operation.
The job carries physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing. Proper use of personal protective equipment and possibly uniforms is required while performing duties. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a respected, industry-leading company committed to delivering exceptional service and quality. Aramark’s commitment to fostering a positive work environment and professional development makes this supervisory role an excellent opportunity for candidates seeking to advance their careers in food service management and catering operations.
